Not Me Monday!

Here it is again, another Monday, another Not Me Monday, started by MckMamma! 

Nothing too exciting to post this Monday, but I’ll see if I can make do!

I would NEVER wait til the last minute to do some banking that needed to be done before we leave on vacation!  Nope not me! I’m the one that always has things planned out and done well in advance.  Uh huh, that’s me!

I did NOT start packing last night for our vacation! I did NOT wait til yesterday to finish up the laundry that needed to be done too, just so that I would NOT have to put it away after I folded it! LOL Nope, not me!  I’m the perfect housewife that gets our clothes put away right after they’re done!

I did NOT keep flipping the top of the suitcase just to see my cat flinch, while he was peacefully sleeping on our bed, while I was NOT packing last night!  I love my cat!  I”m the one that defends him against the men in our family!!!

I did NOT pick up my husband’s medicine just today in stead of Friday afternoon.  It’s ok though, he had enough to get him thru today!

I did NOT just get some projects done for work that should have been done last week.. but it’s ok.  the boss knew.

I did NOT finally get the oil changed on my car on Friday.  I am the responsible driver and get it changed every 3K miles instead of waiting til the moniter on the car tells me it’s down to 8%!!!

I did NOT get the heeby jeebies at work today cuz one of the lab tech’s was talking about ticks and then the NP was talking about shingles!! *shudder*

My co-worker did NOT just tell me that Santa Buddies, the movie is on sale for $9!!!  I did NOT send an email to Mike telling him that it is onsale for 67% off and that we need to get it for JonJon!  I did NOT tell him that because secretly I want it for me!!

 

Thankful

I know it’s a week early, but I’ve been seeing people post things on Facebook the past few weeks about things they are thankful for.  I thought it would be cool to list the things I’m thankful for!

1. My wonderful husband 2. Our adorable son! 3. Having a roof over our head. 4. vehicles to get us where we’re going! 5. Family and friends 6. a job 7. unconditional love from my husband and son 8. the ability to take photo’s for people 9. food on the table 10. clothes to wear 11. shoes to wear 12. ability to travel 13. sales at Kohl’s 14. that Stellan’s SVT is outta here! 15. for my fellow veteran’s that are away from their families and friends…fighting for our freedom 16. for fellow veterans of years past that fought for our freedom 17. our spazoid cat 18. extra blankets 19. friends that will help out in a pinch 20. JonJon’s burns on his fingers weren’t worse than they could have been 21. to live in a land where I can write or speak whatever is on my mind 22. for all things facebook…has brought me back together with long lost friends 23. Email 24. Google 25. all things to do with the internet! 26. lots of other things and last but certainly NOT LEAST 27. a forgiving and loving God!!!!

If it’s not one thing….

it’s another!  I think Sunday was an indication of how crappy this week was going to be for us. 

*sigh* For those that don’t know, JonJon burned 2 of his fingers on his right hand, Sunday morning helping Daddy cook breakfast.  After a trip to the ER, the rest of the day was pretty uneventful.  I got some bills and receipts filed away..(they’d been piling up for the past month..oopsy) and Mike and JonJon played the PS3 the rest of the day.

Not Me Monday!

MckMamma started this so that we could all not feel guilty for not being the perfect parent or wife!  I love reading everyone’s entries!  Some are really funny!

Yesterday, we did NOT have to go to the ER because while JonJon was helping daddy cook breakfast, he did NOT burn his fingers on the griddle, trying to flip pancakes.  (He’s ok.  Just have to keep them wrapped and put silvadine on them)

I most certainly did NOT keep hitting snooze this morning.  After JonJon did NOT sleep in this weekend until 8:00 am both days, it was not hard to hit the snooze button.

I did NOT post some pictures of Mike and JonJon feeding geese on facebook and DID NOT respond LOL to my brother-in-law’s post saying “Holy Baldspot Batman!”  tee hee hee

I did NOT finally get about a month’s worth of receipts and bills filed away yesterday.  We’ve been busy..sue me

I did NOT buy any jewelry on Saturday, at the 5th annual stop n shop, after I told Mike I didn’t plan on buying anything.    oops!

Sunday…day of rest?

Not for this family! 

Today was my turn to sleep in, but I didn’t get to sleep in much because JonJon slept til 8:30am today!  Woo Hoo.. First thing I said to Mike was check J for a fever.  He never sleeps in unless he’s sick.  No fever.  Thank you Lord! 

Geese

After JonJon woke up from his nap, we went to Deming Park and fed the geese.  This was the first time that we’ve taken JonJon to do this.  The geese were really hungry! LOL  When we got there, there were a few geese on the north side of the pond.  As soon as they saw that the other geese were getting fed, the ones in the pond and on the south side scidaddled their way over towards us!  It was a matter of time before us and some other people feeding geese, were literally surrounded by geese!!!!

sales going on today!!!

Me, Mike, and JonJon had lunch with Nana today at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants! Yum!  Afterwards, we went to Walmart and then headed back to our house so that we could put JonJon down for a nap and get the cold groceries back home.  After I played JonJon’s vsmile with him for a bit, Mom and I left to go to Sears.

Veteran’s Day

is what I would have liked to have done for yesterday.  A DO OVER!!!  

Yesterday, Mike called me at 8:05am and said you have to come get me.  I said what?  Are you ok?  He said “yeah the truck’s front tire almost fell off.  I’m sitting in a parking lot in Clinton.  I need you to bring the jack and some tools.”  Sooo, I had luckily already taken a shower, fed and dressed JonJon by then, so I gathered all the items I needed to take to Mike.  Got JonJon loaded into the car and off we went towards Clinton.
